Ultrasound and x-ray
Our vets Mechteld and Chris can in most cases make an ultrasound of your animal. Through ultrasound they can view your animal’s organs in a painless and safe way. The organs can be imaged to determine abnormalities or disorders: If necessary, punctures or biopsies can also be taken. These can be further investigated to establish the diagnosis. You will be referred for specialist ultrasounds. For an emergency ultrasound, we ensure that you can often see a colleague specialist the same day.
Since the takeover, the Duivendrecht veterinary clinic has been equipped with the latest X-ray equipment.
Our digital X-ray system can take pictures within seconds and display them on a large screen. This makes our X-ray service of high quality: We can decide while your pet is still on the X-ray table that a repeat photo should be taken. As a result, your animal does not have to be unnecessarily sedated or held tightly more often.
By being able to assess the X-rays with speed, we can also determine what the problem is faster than other veterinarians or refer you on time. This way you quickly know where you stand and what we can do for you.
X-rays are usually taken to visualize the bones, chest, abdomen, and joints.
